Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas already have these laws, so I have a purely practical question: Considering these tests are not prescribed by the doctor thus medically unnecessary, are put in place by the pious legislatures to “shame” a woman out of proceeding with an abortion, and are certainly not free, who is paying for the tests? And regardless of who’s paying, how many millions of money has been wasted on such unnecessary medical testing?
